Emeraid Herbivore may be fed as a partial source of nutrition or the sole source of nutrition for no more than 7 days.

Feeding Directions

• This diet is designed for herbivorous species including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, and herbivorous reptiles such as adult iguanas, bearded dragons, tortoises, most turtles, and uromastyxs (spiny-tailed lizards).
• When mixed as directed, this product will pass through a 16-gauge stainless steel feeding needle and 5-French red rubber catheters.

1. Place 10 ml of warm water in a small, disposable kitchen or bathroom cup.
2. Using the blue scoop, add 2 scoops of powder packed and leveled to the water. Mix with a tongue depressor or a wide flat stirrer to the consistency of cake batter.
3. To prevent plugging a 16-gauge feeding needle, first attach the feeding needle to the syringe, warm the feeding needle in the container of warm water, then draw the diet into the syringe.
4. Keep the attached gavage needle and filled syringe in a tall container of warmed water (105-110oF or 41-43oC) until diet is fed (<1/2 hour). Make fresh for each feeding. When finished, flush feeding needle immediately to reduce plugging. Any remaining food should be discarded after feeding.
